If you haven’t heard yet, Adele’s Grove was gutted by fire during the night. At this time of the year it is very busy so this will be a real challenge to keep everything going.

Further info from the owners
<<An Update from the Adels Grove Team
We can confirm a fire has destroyed our main building last night impacting the reception/shop, restaurant, deck and bar with no injuries reported.
An 82-acre holiday park we have 61 accommodation rooms and glamping tents plus 235 camp and caravan sites which are relatively unaffected.
While we regroup we believe the temporary loss of services should not impact the vast majority of our visitors provided they are self-sufficient and equipped with supplies.
With many campers opting to remain in the park to continue their holiday the Lawn Hill Gorge boat tours are running and canoe hire is open for business!
Thank you to everyone for their patience with temporary arrangements for check in and alike.
Any travellers or guests wanting further information or assistance can call 0474 522 146 while phone lines are re-established.>>
Terrible about the main building but they are still open for business

According to the 9 news tonight there were up to 500 campers there at the time. I knew it was a popular location, but no idea that many travelers went there at a time. It is on my bucket list.

It is on my bucket list. 500 campers are about 495 too many for my comfort zone. We visited there in '99, right at the end of the tourist season when the hordes had left. We shared the place with only 3 other rigs and it was a most enjoyable experience without too many others, both there at Adele's Grove and the gorge. Jeff
