Frank, if you can't find a write brush, perhaps you could use a calligraphy brush. But if you would rather not be a Caligula, while you are Roman around you can just sit back and be a Nero hero while the choofer burns. 😁🤔

Good on you Sid, I am not surprised that no one else went to help, it is the "I don't want to be involved syndrome" I have seen people drive past accidents with no thought what so ever for the safety of the victims.

Last night we had dinner compliments of our son Adam Dinner for 2 at the chef's table at Serafino's winery which consisted of
Complimentary wine Moscato for Brenda and Serafinos Tempranillo for me 1. Canapes, Chicken liver pate on toasted brioche and salmon mouse on a water cracker 2. 1st Entree, Cured sea trout on a bed of pureed cauliflower 3. 2nd entree, Grilled chicken cubes served with a pickled salad 4. Pre dinner, Spiral pasta, cooked al dente, served with a broccolini anti pasto 5. Dinner, pressed (into a rectangular cube) lamb shoulder, a (same sized cube) potato fried in garlic butter served on a bed of broccolini and a red wine jus 6. Pre desert, an apple sorbet served with small cubes of preserved apples, dried apples and sugar cured apples 7. Desert, a deconstructed tiramisu served with a warm, slightly salted caramel coffee sauce, poured onto a dark chocolate pastille All over over 2 and a 1/2 hours
The food was amazing, the service was great, the embiance was good and great music for the setting with Nat king Cole, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and a few I didn't recognise
Brenda only had 1/2 the pasta, brought her dinner home after a couple of bites and we shared a dessert I also had a second glass of Serafinos Tempranillo and a long black and we finished a bottle of water between us
Great evening

Well I do not know what is going on with the rain. It is supposed to be raining today but the sun is shining here with blue sky.

I was surprised to wake up to blue skies this morning. Just need a good run of fine weather now to dry my yard out, so I can drive over it to put the caravan back undercover. Also, it would be nice to have fine weather when we go to the caravan show Thursday.

Our son Adam and I went to the whiskey show yesterday 1300 till 1600 session, it was better than I thought it would be, I tried about 40 whiskey from around 18 different companies, all in all there are about 160 whiskeys to try so we did behave ourselves, some no better than the old Johnny walker red but at 4-5 times the price some really smooth even at 46%, some tasted nothing like whiskey because they've been matured in this cask and infused in that then re-casked into French oak with a hint in this in it blerk! Most were Australian with a lot from Tassie even one from our own Fleurieu peninsula down at Goolwa
I did like a couple but at $135+ a per bottle, I passed, I did want to buy a bottle of Irish cream made by a Japanese distillery but they had sold out, Adam bought a lavender whiskey liqueur from Tassie, very unusual and very nice, strong smell of lavender but only mild in lavender taste and tasted more like aniseed, strangely enough the liqueurs were cheaper than the whiskeys
Adam tried a few more than me because he wasn't driving (the wheel chair that is) as he likes the ryes and there were a couple of American displays there At first the samples start at around 1/2 a nip and would probably continue that way but after about an hour I was asking for smaller pours and the exhibitors were very good, we had a number who took their time explaining their product to us whilst pouring drinks for the people (both men and women) who just thrust a glass out in from of them who were there just for the drink and a number of them said to us they could tell we aren't there just you get drunk All in all, it was a good experience, learnt a lot about making whiskey, most people behaved there weren't any falling down drunk but a couple were asked to leave by security, we tasted some nice whiskeys but none that made us go "wow I've got to have a bottle of that" We caught the train back to Seaford, where Brenda picked us up
No headache this morning, neither of us get hangovers but we drink plenty of water, we rinsed the glass out after every try with half a glass of water which we drank, between the 2 of us we went through 6 bottles of water in the 3 hrs

I love my Whiskey and Whisky. I have been to many Whiskey shows and tastings. I have started a Whiskey club at our over 55 community. The photo is of one of our early meetings. Myself and a couple of lads enjoying our selves. The cheapest on the table was Monkey Sholder. The dearest was Oban at $170 a bottle. I like Oban. Also liked the Tamdhu about $125. Tamdhu is a bit sweeter than Oban.

I like the monkey's shoulder, I took the 3 monkey's of my last bottle and made a key ring from it
