Very quiet here on forum. I do not have much to say, just mowing grass then when finished time to start again. Trouble is there are so many clippings I have to rake them up and put in my tipping trailer for a dump trip. Just for a change I used the hedge trimmer this morning on some bushes that were getting too big. This afternoon when cooler time to mow front again. Barry

Baz,
My wife is a regular user of a corded hedge trimmer
In the early days she came to me to explain that she had inadvertently cut through the power cord
Fortunately it was a cord (extension cable) that I bought years early. It was a safety colour, bright yellow, heavy cord with a safety switch at the plug end.
Of course she cut it right in the middle so I could not just move the socket. So I joined it carefully inside a short length of electrical conduit all taped up.
Our grandson was worse. He did the same cutting thing to his father's cord... except... that he cut through it in 3 places in a single swipe

I went to a Makita hedge trimmer for the same reason. I put Bonnies 240v unit in the bin the same day.

Two catchers is all it takes on a 405m2 block once you put a house on it.

When my grass is tall I get about 1/2 a catcher on my ozito cordless mower The front lawn (no back lawn) is about 10sq meters đ yes that's right 3.2 x 3.2 meters rounded at one side It takes me longer you trim the edges than it does to mow the lawn

I think you should hold some safety meetings at your place on a regular basis Barry

3880m2 Gerry. Not usually this bad but with the hot weather and rain we have had it grows overnight. Barry

I think she learned her lesson.
I offered to buy her a cordless trimmer when I went to Bunnings yesterday but she said she does not need it.

Of course she doesn't need it, she can make her own
