On Friday I did a usual month or so check of the van, turned lights on, all ok. Pumps on, ok. Taps on, whoops no water from vanity basin tap.
I fiddled around for a few minutes turning tap on and off, pump on and off, no good. Next remove mixer cartridge, looks ok, reassemble, still no water. I started removing anything from the cupboard under the basin to get at pipes and looking up from the floor I noticed the aerator on the tap. Hmm I will take that off before taking pipework apart.
It was blocked solid of gunk, calcium, lime etc. I guess. I took it apart and wonder how it ever worked as the holes in the filter thing were only about the diameter of a human hair. I left these pieces out after cleaning and only put back the final gauze type end piece. Now works better than it ever did.
I will be checking all aerators around the house taps now.

Baz,
Thanks and that is a handy reminder of a not uncommon issue
I remember being puzzled for a while with a lack of flow. At the time I didn't know that an aerator was factory fitted. I've never had one in our house.
I'm sure I posted on the old forum about my experience but searching only found a later post offering advice. Even that was nearly 10 years ago.
My theory was/is that the white gunk clogging the aerator is from the HWS anode dissolving. There is always a heap of white crap in the bottom of the HWS. Some of it is bound to find its way to the sink tap.

I had that problem a fresh years ago in my vanity basin in the van. Quite puzzling as the shower and kitchen taps were OK. Once I found the aerator on the vanity was blocked it made sense.
