I know that in the distant past we've had quite a discussion on Clearview Mirrors But, under sufference I've just bought and, had fitted, a pair of them for my BT50. First of all..the price..WOW!!! they cost me $1050.00 supply and fitted by Autobarn and that was with a $150.00 members discount !!. (The Mirrors themselves were nearly $900.00 ) I think they were around $500. only a couple of years back.
I've had an unbelievable saga trying to find mirrors that would fit...at one stage I bought a pair of lookalikes on Flea Bay for about $300.oo...despite their advert saying they would fit my vehicle,- they did not. after some argy bargy and time wasting with them wanting to see photos etc, they agreed to take them back for a full refund....all very well but, I had to re-pack and re-address the carton, cart it down to the P.O. and fork out $78.00 Postage !! when I complained they said that they would give me $25.00 towards the post cost...I never got it...
After several, unsuccessful attempts to buy the right fitting mirrors, I gave up and contacted Clearview H.Q. who assured me that their mirrors would fit my model..So after so much frustration, I bit the bullet and ordered them through their local agent Autobarn Maroochydore cunningly thinking that if they were wrong then it would be them that would have to bear any costs involved and I would be only put out with the time it took me to drive to their premises...... They arrived and were fitted without any hassle....But Geez !! ...The Price @#$%^&*() ......( Remember , I'm a Scotsman)

I think you will find they were over $600, 10 years back, for the bog-standard elephants ears. When you added electric adjustment, power fold, mirror heating, puddle lamps, memory, auto tilting and the turn signal repeaters to them, you paid a small phenomenal fee for each of those. Some were into three figures cost. I'm not sure how much the next gen or compact options add to the basic price.
If you had an LC 300 series you could be paying $1500 with all the options on them.

Did you get the Next Gen mirrors that retract closer to the vehicle? The price sounds reasonable as the ones for our new vehicle will be around $1600.

No...I got the normal Next Gen ones with the two pieces..Flat on top and smaller convex below..electrically adjustable, no indicators and manually extendable and foldable. $1600.00 seems an enormous amount to pay for extension mirrors..what is the brand of your new vehicle? Allthough they didn't fit my vehicle and I had to send them back the ones mentioned from Flea Bay,in my original post, were as good quality wise as the Clearviews IMO but a fraction of the price.
Have a look at them under "Extension Mirrors" There's quite a few .. much, much cheaper....Then again, as Graham said, "you cant take it with you"
