Hi all, after a recent trip down south I found out that not only does Sub-tropical Diesel reach Wax Temperature at -4c but my van tyres may have also suffered.
When putting the van away, I noticed some complete blocks of the tyres did not only lack dust from the concrete floor , but were about 3mm lower than surrounding blocks.
Could the tyres have frozen and become brittle?

There's always that possibility but I'd say it's more like you're tyre pressure dropped in the really cold weather With my TPMS on I notice that the tyre pressure in winter is about 6 psi lower than summer so extreme cold would drop out even more, with sections of the tyre exposed to the cold some may have got colder than others and worn a lot faster

They look weird Gerry
Distinct signs of misalignment feathering that are not easily explained on a single block.

Gerry, I would say you have tyre wear problems that you have not noticed before.

They are only caravan tyres.
Cold inflation pressure is 73 PSI in Brisbane, but high 60's down south, so I doubt tyre pressure is an issue.
Tug tyres are unaffected.
PS: It was probably -4C in Uralla as we had ice inside the van after the diesel stopped flowing to the heater.
