I don't think this C2 model has been covered before.
Our van bought new in 2004 is nearly 20 years old and finally the dunny flush pump has died.
I managed to get the pump out, after cutting the 12 volt wiring, to confirm it has siezed. As a totally sealed pump and that old I did not consider a repair.
The dud pump drew 6 amps direct from battery but could not be encouraged to rotate by moving its impeller.
The usual mob had the best price... www.caravansplus.com.au/16374-water-pump-suit-thetford-c2-c400-c200-cwe-toilets-p-5847.html?products_id=5847
The pump fuse is only 3 amps, thus it had blown.
New pump ordered and I'll post some pics of the job when I get the pump

OT, probably replacing is the best option after 20yrs of service. I have managed to help the kids a couple of times with their toilet pumps just by shoving a small screwdriver at the pump impeller and force it to turn and usually with power on it starts working and then a drowning with WD40 and away it goes maybe not for another 20yrs but if used raguly for quite some time. On the fuses I would have thought you would carry a box of mixed fuses anyway. JR

I do carry fues JR... ranging from 250 amps down to 7 amps... but nothing smaller.
I figure that Thetford must have chosen a 3 amp fuse for a reason and I don't want to risk anything inside that is damned difficult to get to, like the pump switch

Ordered the pump from Caravansplus around 1030 on Wednesday and it was waiting for me at the Charters Towers Post Office at 1150 today.
So 49 hours from ordering then despatch from Queanbeyan to Charters is a pretty good effort by OzPost
I have also installed the pump and it works

I get most of my caravan parts from caravans plus. Not always the cheapest. But parts are genuine and service is good.

OT, i could have got those fuses from Repco for four bucks, and no waiting for delivery.
You probably don't have auto club membership, but I get 20% RACQ discount.

Gerry,
I've had RACV Total Care for nearly 20 years. Only got it for a caravanning emergency.
This year cost $252 and during my lengthy membership I have never ever called them.

Do you think the $5000 was well spent, OT? ($250 ×20)

I guess it is like any form of insurance..... Can you afford to be without it?
