Hi All. I am staying at the Mclarenvale CP for till the end of July. I would like to get in a couple of games of lawn bowls. The local clubs don’t seem to be open. The weather doesn’t help. I drove up to Torrensville bowls club today as it is undercover and regarded as the top club in Adelaide. It was locked up like Fort Knox. So do the clubs in Adelaide not open for the winter?

I don't know I don't recall seeing the white clad army in winter, seems most of them have migrated north for the winter and are practising up there I've been asked in the past by a couple of friends to play in a friendly competition in summer but I don't think I'm old enough yet for that

Hi Frank. They don’t wear white like they used to. And bowling is becoming a much younger sport. Seems the younger ones have games on weekends and evenings. Week days the older folk are staying home
