I wrote before about my goodmates New caravan.Afte R having it for 6 mths and a battle for 6mths it's going on a truck today we hope back to the manufacturers in Melbourne. To say this has been an on going ordeal is to under estimate. He went to Tassy without early this year and took it to the manufacturers for review of the 60 items that needed to fix and they agreed. But in discussion with him yesterday other than the inside which is mainly poor workmanship the suspension of this van is way underdone. It has torsion bar type suspension with maybe 50 mm of travel. The lack of give in it has meant the walls are separating the washing machine had worn its way though the outer caseing.Nothing can stay on a hanger and this is on the blacktop. If you are in the market PM me and I will let you no the brand.

Today in the Courier Mail is a report on a lemon caravan which Green RV have to pay $670000 dollars for the van. It was a Regency Discovery 20 ft,very similar to my mates which is going back to their factory.Sounds like a bit of justice for the customer.

Yes that's the article, mate said the main difference between this van and his is the size of the windows ,he hasn't had the issues with them as his windows are small, but has had other issues to do with the strength of the build.

The link does not open, it's behind a firewall. Please copy and paste the relevant pieces.

The article says refund of $67k, not $670k. I thought that sounded a bit high when I read loub's post. 😳

Why do posters continue to post links that just bring up articles behind firewalls? They mas as well just stay in bed and not bother.

Why do posters continue to post links that just bring up articles behind firewalls? They mas as well just stay in bed and not bother. Because they probably have a subscription and don't realise others can't see it! Sorry but if you're going to be grumpy and tell people they might as well stay in bed, maybe you should get a couple more hours sleep Just a thought

Sorry, folks.
I emailed the article to myself in the hope of avoiding the Courier Mail subscription requirement.
