I have one of the 5 Ton jack rattle gun combo's shown above and reckon it's brilliant. Jack is slow to raise but that is the only issue I have with it. I take the point about the switch and will be fitting a remote switch so you don't have to reach under the vehicle. I changed the Cig lighter plug over to a Merit plug, there's more than enough cable to reach any wheel on car or Van. The jack supplied with the car is a small bottle jack which now resides in a bin in the workshop. I might make a small press with it.
I bought it so i didn't have to buy another Trail A Mate, then found a 2 Tonne wind up jack under the bed when we got the Van home. Works real well on the Van, but is heavy and awkward.

Some time ago I decided to explore all the featured jockey wheels and finally purchased a BOS. It has been one of the best purchases I have made.
Effortless to operate with the brushless Makita drill, remains in situ when travelling and will lift two van wheels off the ground. I enquired at the time of purchase about a jack attachment and was told there was one in the pipeline but as yet it still has not materialised.
I was in town one afternoon and was in a shop that sold new and secondhand building materials plus bits and pieces from deceased estates and insolvent businesses. In a box of bits and pieces I found the jack attachment from a Trail a mate.
Armed with a couple of other pieces of "junk" I took it to the counter and asked the price. The attendant had no idea what it was and just said "$5 to you mate". I casually walked out with a big smile on my face. To purchase the lifter attachment is now in excess of $100 and it fitted perfectly on the shaft of the BOS.
I also have an Ozito brushless drill and rattler and on reading the specs for the drill found that it had more torque than the equivalent Makita. The beauty of the Ozito range is the 5 year replacement warranty as compared with the 2 year Repair Only warranty of the Makita

I'll get an ozito rattle gun one day Not a bad idea Frank
I got one yesterday and just tried it out on our 1996 Hilux, 2010 Hyundai ix35 and 2007 Prado.
I marked the nut position and ran one nut off and back on again on each vehicle.
Pretty happy so far and with a 5 year warranty it may see me out

Yes Sid, it's that link.
It is actually my link in response to Frank's post.
I haven't yet tested the tool on the caravan wheels as it's cold out there in distant shed 4

Nice to hear that you are happy with the impact driver OT. Did you go with the brushless Unit?

Pre-summer weather is certainly hiding somewhere
We have been home from Townsville for 6 weeks and burned through almost 400 litres and $480 worth of LPG entirely consumed by heating.
I hope we will be 'Happy Jan' as we have been 'very unhappy Oct and Nov'.
