I like the thumbs up sign it gives you an idea about if people actually read your comments and my spellchecker works too. Hans Yes I agree. Something that was sadly missing from the old. Another suggestion. I have noticed that if a thread has more than one page, the page number shortcut appears at the top of the page, and not at the bottom. Is there a way of adding this to the bottom of each page so you don't have to return to the top to get to thr next page?

The page number stays at the top and the page scrolls up. There is no need for the page number at the bottom. Failing that you have the arrows on the right hand side that fast scroll to the top or bottom of the oage.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but a good thing about the forum now is being able to preview the content of the topic by hovering over it. I know that at the time when it was no longer possible to do that on the old forum, a lot of people were whinging.
There were obviously a number of factors why it lost popularity. I seem to recall complaints about it being hard to read when the format was changed as well.
This one is coming along nicely.

Joe, the hover function is built in. Being a free forum there are a limited amount of changes that can be made. Basically what you see now is what you get. There are a few little things we can still change. It takes a lot of time searching through the available plugins and then testing them to see if they suit our forum. There will be more boards added in time and as needed.

Now I have to tell Trudi...... Convince her to register here under her own monika. Then she will have to be nice. Besides then she could tell her side of the story.

I actually welcome a line being drawn under under old topics from the other site. Starting afresh, hopefully with enthusiasm for talking about places visited, I find interesting, rather than been there done that, is what I’m looking for. For example, the wife and I are heading up to Burrum Heads in a few weeks and would welcome any fishing tips, places of interest etc. Will have to settle for one of the “lesser” sites as those Mexicans have already taken the prime beachside sites 👹 Oh well, that’s life...and as Tony Beets on Goldrush says.....sucks to be you 😁 Whinge over. Cheers Rob Did I tell you about the Rainbow Lorikeets at Burrum Heads? They were the reason we longer go there but go to Woodgate instead. If it quieter at Burrum now let me know please. glanyard

Mick/ OT, I'm getting notifications on my profile if someone likes a post or quotes me etc, it comes up as a number in a little white oblong window How do I turn that off? All my notifications are turned off other than PMs
