Yesterday there was a talkback session on the local radio and the topic was about grumpy grey nomads seems like they are on forums as well. FYI I said I had a Jayco journey which have independent suspension. Dont bother replying as I won’t be on a forum that has members who’s gets their back up by not reading replies properly. Jees mate seven posts on this forum and you come ot with something like that, muzz stated a fact that you did not give us all the facts His thre he'll are we supposed to know what suspension your van has I have Jayco Discovery 18ft , without going searching the internet do you know what suspension that has? Ohh dear.........and this place was going so well.......
I guess some will learn from forums and some already know all the answers.
If you know all the answers your worth here is immeasurable. If you just think you know all the answers you're on the same level as the rest of us and can gain a great deal from others here.
Settle back, relax and be ready to gain something, and this place will continue go well.

I have never met a grumpy Nomad. .....Well there was this one guy going crook and I was about to give him a talking to but I was looking in the mirror.
Any way on tyres, I look at the tyres before purchase and also the price bracket they are in. I reckon companies tend to compete in various price ranges for a similar product.
Believing the old saying "a poor man always buys twice" is not a bad thing, and we have all done it. You buy an inferior product that doesn't fit the bill and then are up for the real thing, right? Human nature right?
But despite not being driven wheels on a caravan, I still go for a bit above average cost with Light Truck type tyres. The hundred bucks extra on four or five van tyres is a little bit of insurance that is unappreciated When sitting beside a shredded or constantly punctured out fit, you wish for a better tyre. Just saying.....
You would have to be pretty naive to think that a manufacture selling in say three price brackets is actually giving you the same quality for the lower priced set of tyres. My consideration is more to do with my style of driving though. I don't do as many kays as some perhaps but I have no trouble at a 100 kays per hour either.
So I am certain I want a decent tyre. Just my thoughts of course folks. The first set I got new from Avan were Dunlop, and I have never had so much wear in a van tyre in all my years of driving. I reckoned at the time they had a reject deal going with Dunlop.
Any way I changed to Yokohama which seemed a good idea at the time and have had a great run on them with even consistent wear. I travel at 55 psi. But reading some posts I will try putting in a few more psi into the rear tyres as far as braking is concerned.
Wanna know a secret? ..... My avatar Kicked back into life....or seems to he done so. I am eternally grateful to the Mods for their generous efforts. Thanks so much. well it did for a minute any way.
