Unreal. That will take some getting used to. Maybe when I lose my license I can get one to drive me around. Barry

Amazing, however, as an ex ATC, when these flying machines become the common mode of transport among the general public, I shudder to think what the air traffic will be like.

Yes Roger,
For many years I have been telling my wife that private flying cars could just not happen. It would be chaos
Licences and strict control would be essential for limited numbers so we just won't see a sky full of flying cars as depicted in movies and cartoons.

If you have seen any of the footage available from Dashcams Australia, can you imagine what the scenarios would be like with flying cars!

Humans can not drive on marked roadways without running into each other, just imagine how it will be in the air with no marked roads. Barry

Don't the drones have collision avoidance built into them? If they have, then they won't collide when you are flying them. These taxi things are just big drones, so you should be safe in them.

Electric vehicles are developing at a far faster pace than Scomo reckoned they would. With batteries developing at the rate they are, it looks like electric vehicles will have the range necessary to do most outback trips without refuelling by the time electric vehicles become main stream.

I was reading an article yesterday about a MG4 64, a long range version of the MG4. A pretty standard review except for one thing I picked up on the insurance cost. The cost for this vehicle was $2000, which the journalist said was twice the price for an ICE. Currently, to a certain extent, the ICE vehicles insurance costs could be subsidising the EV insurance costs. What happens to the EV insurance costs when these vehicles become the dominant vehicle on the road? Probably ties in with another thing I was reading. Panel beaters are now getting certification to repair EVs. There was one in Melbourne that had a workshop full of Tesla. The manager of a "sister" workshop was saying that most EV repairs start at $30,000 due to the way the batteries are mounted.

Saw this video today, I think it is worth watching, although some people don't like John Cadogan, try to overlook that and listen to what he is saying. Another thing to try to overlook are the ads before the start. Like most of the ads on youtube now, they go for 3mins, there are usually 2 as well, but no skip function.
