It is going to be fantastic. If you only travel say 5 kays to work you won't have to pay parking. Just press home on the gps and it will go to its cosy little garage.
And oh yes, they are working on a noise for these little gems as well. Seems peds don't look at whats coming up the road and step out in front of motor cars. So maybe a bell will do the job.
I heard a funny thing the other day; They reckon pedsstep out in front of noisey engined cars already....Can't be true.
They are looking at a quieted down v8 as a trial.
Perhaps a man will walk in front of the ekec vehicle, waving a red flag. Worked in the days of horseless carriages. AS well I recall that that was the practice at a rail crossing at 'The Gabba' in Brisbane. LOL

Allan,
As a Techo, I have a keen interest in all technology and like to report developments.
I also believe in climate change and that humans are contributors. How much is natural very long term cyclical and how much is human I don't know. I am concerned though about passing a tipping point where it is beyond human capability to recover.
eVehicles seem to be a cleaner way to go although hydrogen is a better option, as mentioned by Collyn.
I'm no personal fan of eVehicles. I am having enough trouble finding another tug with the range of my standard 2007 Prado. I can easily tow 2400 kg for 1,000 km on a single fill. I think human nature is to keep what one has rather than give up something. To buy a new Prado I'd have to give up range. To buy a LC200 I'd have to give up more range. There is no eVehicle tug on the planet that will match my wants.
I get nervous when my fuel gauge drops below ¼. At home, I must have a back-up generator in case of power outages. I have a back-up freshwater supply enabled by turning a valve. I have a back-up vehicle by having 3 of em for only 2 of us. I have back-up mobile phones. The list goes on. I spent 43 years in aviation where back-ups are the norm. Cost aside, any of the current crops of eVehicles would have me paranoid and stressed about running out of electrons... and trying to source a bucket of em

I just ignored the ignorant cam comment.
I'm sure he meant a leaky flux capacitor

If they could sneak one of those in as well, maybe they are working on one of those for next year.

Have you forgotten your high school physics OT. Just grab a silk cloth or some bunny skin and rub the outside duco like crazy. Then wring the electrons into a bucket. 😂🤣

There you go OT. 4WD, torque to burn and range of 650 km. How would your Roadstar go behind that.🤔

As I read the article, I was wondering what sort of van would match the look of this beast, then I saw the pic of it hooked up to one that really looked the part. Certainly an impressive vehicle if it lives up to the hype.
